We are proud to have a thriving and active ladies section and golfers of all ages and abilities are welcome.
Main competition days are every Tuesday throughout the year with morning and afternoon tee times. There is also at least one competition a month on either Saturday or Sunday morning.
We have a full diary of competitions running throughout the Season- medal, stableford, match play, team events, pair events, Board Competitions and qualifiers for National Competitions.
In the winter months we run “Draw for partners”. These random draws give us an opportunity to play with a variety of lady members and we have a lot of fun playing different format games.
The Section runs Open Days, Invitation Days and Exchange Days along with a friendly match with a local Club. We also arrange a short 2 day trip each year which is extremely popular.
We have enthusiastic scratch and handicap teams in the North Wales Shield Association which are open to all lady members.
We have regular social activities throughout the year such as Ladies Lunch, Spring Buffet, Summer Tea Party all of which are always well supported.
There is also a thriving Bridge group who meet in the off season at the clubhouse.
We are delighted and proud to have received The Women in Golf Charter from Wales Golf. This award recognises a clubs work and effort to inspire an industry-wide commitment to developing a more inclusive culture within golf around the world and enable more women and girls to flourish and maximise their potential at all levels of the sport.
Adoption of the Charter requires national federations and other golf bodies to build on and develop initiatives which will focus on encouraging more women and girls to play golf and stay within the sport as members of clubs, while also empowering women to enjoy successful careers working within the golf industry.
