CAPTAINS DRIVE IN 2025
VLGC has a large, friendly, and thriving Men’s section with a full and varied programme of both competitive and social golf. Golfers of all ages and abilities are welcome.
The main competition days are Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, with individual, pairs and team competitions held throughout the year. There are separate entry fees for all individual, pairs and team competitions with prize vouchers on offer. These are all administered on the day by our top class golf staff in the pro shop.
The section also runs Invitation Days and friendly matches with local clubs such as Ruthin Pwllglas. We have at least two exchanges every year within our region and have visited quality courses such as Heswall, Abergele and Mold.
The Club also runs both scratch and handicap teams who participate in the Wales Team Championships and in the DGU Interclub league.
However, don’t be fazed, we welcome those who are happy to play social golf as and when they like. There are lots of opportunities to join in and you’ll find us friendly and welcoming.
